Madiba

There are not very many people who walk their talk, say what the mean & mean what they say, and lead by example. Nelson Mandela is one of the most exemplary leaders of our time and it's undeniable that his spirit ascends time and space.

At 94, while his body may be delicate his spirit is strong. With all the love and prayers from around the world going out his way, here are a few words of the wise this man of hope, love and possibility and sent out over the years:

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."

"...this is how I was able to change my life — by knowing that if somebody does something good for you, you have to respond."

"When there is danger, a good leader takes the front line; but when there is celebration, a good leader stays in the back of the room."

"If you are humble, you are no threat to anybody. Some behave in a way that dominates others. That's a mistake. If you want the cooperation of humans around you, you must make them feel they are important — and you do that by being genuine and humble. You know that other people have qualities that may be better than your own. Let them express them."
