An extra Spring in my step today

It's Spring, officially! YAY!

There is a newness and a nowness in the air. With the revival of Spring, of its healing and regeneration, brings the glory of longer days, little buds blossoming, gardens greening, and landscapes brightening.

As the sun comes out of its winter hiding, we are reminded that this season reflects a cycle of renewal, growth and bouncy play.

Spring is a time of shifting and shaping . . . shifting on the outside and shaping on the inside. Through my practice of yoga, this idea of connection or the relationship between the microcosm and the macrocosm is always a dance; everything is connected and interrelated.

With the changing of the seasons, the Spring Equinox at our heels, the change that is happening in our environment and with the earth inevitably influences the changes that are occurring within our internal landscapes, within our Self’s.
We can harness the pivotal timing of the changing of seasons as we transition from Winter into Spring, to support us to make positive changes for ourselves.
What does change means to you?
There’s that old adage that the only thing we know for sure is that things will change. The irony here is that humans are creatures of habit. We like routine. We like our habits: eating the same thing for breakfast, taking the same route to work or school, watching a particular TV show, reading a certain website or newspaper, etc. Good or bad, habits are habits.

With nature’s support, use that to our advantage to support positive changes in our selves. Have a peek into your own inner life and see what needs to be refreshed. Notice the inner workings that are inspiring you and notice the rhythms that are not.

What action do you need to take?
