yoga life coaching: on owning it

I just finished my Yoga Life Coaching course with Debbie Williamson (this chick has got it going on!) and have spent the weekend getting clear on what I want and how to manifest my best life ever. I'm excited to see how these new found tools serve not only my life but others as well.
Not sure what Yoga Life Coaching is?
Essentially, Yoga Life Coaching helps people shift into the life that they truly want to live. We are not therapists or consultants. Coaches will not give you advice or tell you what to do. Through powerful + purposeful conversations, clients must be willing to take action, declare what you want to the people around you, and be honest with your coach in order to move forward.
Working with a coach is a practical action step that can change your life, today. Yup, right now! We are trained to support your agenda and needs while helping you to dissolve the life-long blocks, troublesome patterns and limiting beliefs that prevent you from moving forward with the life you really want.

One of the themes that kept surfacing in our course was the fact that for you to cross a river you must first take one step. Once that initial first step is taken, then you may see other stepping stones that will help you cross the river. It's only when that seminal step has been taken that a world of possibilities and opportunities opens to you. You gotta take action. You must take a step - no mater how small - towards living the life you want.
I came across this pertinent post from Seth Godin that reminded me the power of thinking big:
"If you announce what you want, if you are clear about what's on offer, if you set goals...
  • the chances of accomplishing your goal go up, and so does...
  • the chance that you will be disappointed
For many people, apparently, it's better to not get what you want than it is to be disappointed. The resistance is powerful indeed.
Every time you use waffle words, back off from a clear statement of values and priorities and most of all, think about what's likely instead of what's possible, you are selling yourself out. Not just selling yourself out, but doing it too cheaply.
Own your dreams. There is no better way to make them happen."
Are you ready to take action and own your dreams?
